Mermaid's Hair & Cocks Comb - An original seaweed pressing - signed and framed
Real hand-pressed seaweed art featuring lengths of Mermaid's Hair (also known as Gutweed) surrounded by delicate fronds of cocks comb. These seaweeds have been sustainably foraged from Broadstairs on the East Kent Coast.
This pressing is entirely unique. I have pressed the seaweed onto 300gsm acid free, cold pressed watercolour paper. The completed pressing is mounted and displayed within a sage-green, wood frame.
Please note: Seaweed may fade naturally over time. To prevent excess fading it is best displayed out of direct sunlight and not in a moist room, such as a bathroom.

I follow Natural England advice on responsible seaweed collection so I never pick seaweed and only use drift seaweed (seaweed which is already detached from its holdfast).
