Customer Care

I  am a single handed artist. I produce, create and design all my own artwork which I am delighted to be able to share with the world. I find the seaweed pressing process to be almost meditative for me so it is a real pleasure to be able to provide meaningful, hand-crafted pieces of art for your home. Besides buying from me in person at one of my events or in a local gallery, my website is the only other place where my work is stocked.

I will always endeavour to provide an excellent level of service to my customers / clients in accordance with the Ts & Cs set out below and I am on hand to assist with any queries or concerns. 

Every time you buy something from me you are helping to support my practice and keeping my small business open. Thank you. 

Orders

Orders are accepted under the following terms & conditions. These terms and conditions will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. They form the basis of a contract between the Customer (You) purchasing the goods from The Driftweed Artist.
 

VAT

I am not VAT registered.

Collection & Delivery

I will dispatch your order with my nominated courier company. Please be aware that courier companies are not always reliable so I accept that I am responsible for ensuring your order is received by the courier and that they have the correct information required to successfully deliver your order to you. However, I cannot be held responsible for errors made by courier companies.
It is your responsibility as a buyer to be available to accept the delivery. If you are not available then the buyer is responsible for any re-delivery charges. If you are unsure about how much or how complex delivery will be should you live in a remote location, please contact me before making your purchase.

Payment Terms

For non-trade sales I will require cleared funds prior to despatch of goods. I accept payment through my online payment system. All major credit cards are accepted. I cannot accept liability for any monies sent but not received.

Packing & Transport

I will ensure that all orders are packaged in a way suitable to the product and the method of despatch. If there are any restrictions that will prevent delivery being made it is your responsibility to inform us so that alternative arrangements can be made. In order for us to process any insurance claim the item must be checked on delivery. Any delivery that is signed for either without checking or as 'unchecked' will invalidate the returns procedure and insurance.
Please ensure you provide the correct delivery address upon ordering as this information will be provided to the courier. 

Refunds & Returns

You may return any item for any reason for refund or exchange, at my discretion, within 7 days of receipt. The item must be returned in its original packaging and condition and be fit for re-sale. All return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. I reserve the right to charge a realistic fee for repackaging if the product is returned due to the Customer changing their mind. Everything that I send out is carefully checked prior to despatch. I recommend that on receipt you check the item before signing for them as once the goods are signed for I will not accept any claims for damages. If you sign for the goods as 'unchecked' I will not accept any claims for damages that are discovered at a later time. If an item proves to be faulty I will need to be notified within 7 days and I will need a full explanation and where appropriate, photographic evidence. I will either replace the damaged/faulty component or replace the item in its entirety at my discretion. If the customer decides to cancel the order then they will fall liable for the cost of the delivery to them and also for the return delivery costs. I suggest you obtain proof of posting when returning an item to me and use a signed for method, as I cannot accept responsibility for items not received.
Goods ordered in error, or returned due to a change of mind will need to be returned at the Customer's expense.

Liability

I accept no liability for any damages to property or life as a result of incorrect use and or fitting of the products. I suggest that you do not book tradesmen or arrange schedules of work around the item until you have it in your possession. I accept no liability for delays that may be caused due to an item being out of stock or a delivery being delayed due to issues related to the carriage.

Privacy & Safety

I’m a Privacy & Safety policy section. I’m a great place to inform your customers about how you use, store, and protect their personal information. Add details such as how you use third-party banking to verify payment, the way you collect data or when will you contact users after their purchase was completed successfully. 

 

Your user’s privacy is of the highest importance to your business, so take the time to write an accurate and detailed policy. Use straightforward language to gain their trust and make sure they keep coming back to your site!
